After School Care
St. Catherine School provides After School Care until 5 pm for students on campus. Students from kindergarten through eighth grade are given time to complete homework, read, and play. Our After School Care program is licensed with the State of Hawaii.
Schoolwide enrichment classes are offered after school for a small fee for grades Kindergarten through fifth grades. Classes offered includ: martial arts, hula, lego club, ukelele, arts & crafts, origami, Hawaiian culture, and vocal ensemble.
The students compete in events like traditional tests in Anatomy, Astronomy, Invasive Species and many others. They also had engineering events like Bridge Building, Wind Power, and Bottle Rocket in which they must design and build something that will perform well under testing that day.
Students from fourth to eighth grade meet weekly to build and program lego robots to complete tasks.
Students from fifth through eighth grade meet weekly and walk to Mahelona Hospital and minister to the long term care patients residing there. Students play games, color, sing, and bring gifts.
Rock Band meets weekly to learn and practice contemporary music with the goal of public performance.
